In 2008, a person, using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, wrote and signed the Bitcoin white paper, a document that describes the foundations of the digital currency.
The relevance of the Bitcoin over the years has sparked worldwide curiosity about the true identity of its creator, which has never been revealed. It could even be a group of people.
In 2015, computer scientist Craig Wright began claiming in interviews and posts on social media that he invented the currency. Since then, the Australian has been fighting a legal battle with software developers claiming that the fact that they work with the advancement of the Bitcoin code violates his property rights.
Due to this, in 2021, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance, an organization of technology and cryptocurrency companies, opened a case in the UK Court challenging Wright. After three years of investigation, in May 2024, the decision came out: Wright is not the creator of the Bitcoin. The judge further stated that he presented false documents and evidence.
Cryptocurrency experts claim that the inventor has the cryptographic keys that unlock his treasure of more than 1.1 million Bitcoins, which has sat untouched for more than a decade. Where is the creator?
